As work at home professionals, we have more freedom than almost any other gainfully employed professionals. Yet at times this freedom that makes us free to work 24/7 in isolation from our small home offices may also result in a sense of disconnect from the working world.
We workers may seek a way to give us a feeling of community with other like-minded folks throughout the day. Whether it?s virtual tools that approximate the experience of having people around you, or the group of casual or formal co-working arrangements that seem to be cropping up, there is a growing movement to take simultate a pseudo-office environment.
Maybe a post here will start a chain of comments that might result in a sense of connection for us all, even temporarily. |
