Telecommuting Security Systems

As more and more companies allow their employees to telecommute, those that manage Information Technology need to review their security procedures. In an effort to make employees more productive when they are away from the office (either traveling or working from home), the security implications of opening the network are not always considered…or if they are considered, they are set aside for the trade-off of getting more out of your workforce. It’s imperative that the IT department review overall access control so that only the company’s authorized PCs are allowed to connect to the VPN. |
