NuComm Employees May Work From Home

Employees at a Sault Ste. Marie call centre could soon begin taking their work home with them. Clive Woodrow, NuComm International’s chief marketing officer, said about 100 employees are testing a work-at-home program in St. Catharines, where NuComm is based. The company, which was recently purchased by a large European debt collections firm, expects to roll out the program across the board in future, including its site in the Sault at Peoples Road and Second Line, he said. “This is where basically the job that our folks do in what I’ll call our brick and mortar centers, now they’re going to have an opportunity to actually do that work from home,” said Woodrow. All the employees will need is a high-speed Internet connection at home, and a suitable place to work. Working from Home
