Work At Home Moms Choose To Educate Children At Home

Tracy Vacca is a 36-year-old single mother who homeschools four children. When she tells others what she does, Vacca often hears comments about how lucky she is. Vacca supports the family on the money she makes from a home-based house cleaning and painting business. The children?s education doesn?t stop when Vacca goes to work. Justin, Phong, Aubrie and Nhan go with her, pitch in and earn while they learn about the connection between making money and being able to pay for things. What allowed homeschooling to flourish was the removal of state teacher certification laws that restricted parents from educating their children at home. In 1993, Michigan became the last of the 50 states to formally recognize the rights of families to homeschool. Telecommuting For Federal Government Workers

Working from Home Telecommuting is the ability to do your work at a location other than your “official duty station.” With portable computers and high speed telecommunications links many employees today can work almost anywhere at least some of the time. Using the flexibility to work in a home office or telework center when it is effective to do so is clearly the wave of the future, and for many of us the future is already here. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and the General Services Administration (GSA) have established a joint web site to provide access to guidance issued by both agencies on telecommuting. You will find information for employees who think they might like to telework (or are already doing so), for managers and supervisors who supervise teleworkers, and for agency telework coordinators.

    Seeking Success In Mail-order Clothing

Working from Home On the face of it, Toast is a 10-year-old mail-order company selling women’s clothes: well-made, easy-to-wear, rarely obvious clothes in organic cotton, silk georgette and Panama-wool flannel. Season after season, the company’s catalogues spell out a glorious if faintly preposterous little fantasy of pretty, soulful-looking girls living on the edge of somewhere wild - perhaps in a log cabin or a Moroccan town house - and who fill their days wandering around in the fresh air with sheaves of corn under their arm, or rinsing enamel mugs in tongue-and-grooved kitchens.
