A company started from home was the big winner at last night’s Westpac Taranaki Chamber of Commerce Business Awards. Tenderlink.com Ltd won the Westpac supreme business award as well as the Genesis Energy large business award and the Powerco service award. Their business is based in New Plymouth and provides an electronic tendering system. Chief executive Philip Brown started the business from his Wellington home in 1994, returning to New Plymouth three years later, expanding the business into Australia. The judges commented on Tenderlink.com’s customer service which is combined with a customer feedback system. Tenderlink.com works hard to help customers understand the systems offered, the judges said.
