Looking for a hip and trendy lifestyle editor-in-chief for new Vancouver start-up that is developing a suite of lifestyle content publishing platforms. This is a senior-level opportunity for someone who has major editorial experience. Must be a self-starter and willing to put in at least half a day’s work in the beginning leading to a full-time gig in the near future. Must be able to lead a group of freelance writers, look for interesting content, occasionally write for the site and initiate new lifestyle editorial concepts. Familiar with new media concepts, Web 2.0, social networking sites and technologies, podcasts, video blogs etc.

If you’re 1)looking for a new start-up environment, 2)an editorial whiz, and 3)love to try new things; this is the place for you. Oh, you must have written or editor-ed for a major magazine, newspaper, TV/radio station or online content website before. Must be able to work for sweat equity until we get initial funding. You will get major stock options in the beginning if you’re the right candidate and get in early with the company. Subsequent salary will be provided once we get funding.

If you’re willing to provide capital and be a major partner, that could be discussed as well. Must reside in Vancouver and no relocation provided.
