Part-Time Web Content Writer

Position Objective:

* Support the content team’s efforts to generate quality, informative content for a number of websites dealing with adult education, finance and home improvement services.

Position Details:

* Work from home and create your own schedule, submitting work online.
* Must commit to 15 hours per week. Please don?t respond if you have any hesitation regarding hours or pay.
* Our writers have the ability to work when they want, from home, and the work is consistent.
* Pay Scale
o 0-3 Months: $8/hr (or prevailing minimum wage)
o 3-6 Months: $9/hr
o 6+ Months: $10/hr with potential promotion to editor

Responsibilities:

* Generate well written, timely, informative content for our websites.
* Format articles using Wiki.

Education and Experience:

* Some college experience in a relevant field, such as English or journalism.
* Freelance writing experience preferred.
* Basic understanding of the Internet.

Required Skills:

* Strong writing, grammar and editing skills.
* Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
* Knowledge of AP style a plus, but not required.
* Familiarity with Wiki formatting also a plus.
* Must be self-disciplined and able to work well from home.
* Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills.

We don’t believe in spam, offensive banners, pop-ups or anything else that could hinder a Web user’s experience on our sites.
* Our content team submits all of their work online through our Content Management System.

Location:

* Our primary office is located in Foster City, Calif., but our writers work from home.

* Writers must live in the United States and be over the age of 21.

* Training will be conducted during the first week of January. Once training is completed, you?ll be free to start working.
