pcdoctors

PCdoctors are groups of individuals that specialize in computer repair and maintenance. Maybe the perfect work from home enterprise, this entrepreneurial activity allows you to

  • work as little or as much as you desire, you work your own hours
  • be your own boss
  • schedule your work hours around your leisure, family and vacation time
  • run your business without the cost of a big, expensive office
  • use your vehicle, your home office, your travel and more as deductible business expenses
  • maintain your own, exclusive customer base for repeat business
  • and, enjoy your work.

As with all worth-while avocations, computer repair requires training. But, those that have been using computers for a while may already have some of the skills required in the maintenance of the operating system software.

One group of maladies effecting many computer users is adware that displays advertisements in the computer’s browser. These are in addition to the usual advertisements seen on the visited web pages. Adware pop-up advertising windows on the customer’s system is not necessarily generated by the websites they happen to visit, but rather by programs that remain stored on their hard drive and are executed at intervals determined by the adware writer or company.

Learning to remove this and other spyware programs is one area of profit that will ingratiate yourself with your customers, gaining their trust, and generating return business. You will also learn the ability to perform PC-related installations and technical support along with offering computing and technology solutions and advice.

Key to success in this business is a friendly, courteous and helpful attitude. Good communication skills, a pleasing manner and a respectable appearance will also go along way to guarantee you with a growing client?le.

So, how do you become a PCdoctor?? You could do it entirely on your own. Research and learn the basics of computer maintenance and repair, print a stack of business cards, place a small ad in your local newspaper, print and distribute flyers.

But, where do you obtain and keep abreast of the latest PC related topics, especially the most profitable services — site cleaning and virus removal.

For a one-time payment of $9.95 you will immediately become a PCdoctor? affiliate. This affiliation brings you two benefits; immediate access to their learning guide, and a three (3) months listing in their worldwide PCdoctor? database.

Thereafter, for a $3.95 monthly fee, your listing remains for all the world to see and for all the world to find your services. Customers looking for a PCdoctor? search worldwide by zip, postal code, or country. Your name, email address, (optional) telephone number and technical specialties are advertised for your service area. Plus, every PCdoctor? has access to their training page containing money-making articles, service techniques, business advice and more.

Personally, a $9.95 expenditure is worth the sum, just o investigate this exciting opportunity. For that, I give it a big “thumbs-up”.

Mortgage Scams May Be Targeting Work At Home Moms

The ForeclosureS.com Guide to Advanced Investing Techniques You Won\'t Learn Anywhere Else

A multitude of opportunistic scams are targeting homeowners trying to avoid foreclosure in the current housing downturn. Prosecutors in the state of California unsealed twin cases against 19 people who are said to have skimmed nearly $13 million in equity from 115 homeowners coast to coast under the guise of a mortgage rescue.

Federal investigators say they expect the number of people ensnared in fraudulent foreclosure schemes to grow given such financial straits. The Mortgage Bankers Association said a record 2% of the nation’s 46 million mortgage loans were in the foreclosure process at the end of the fourth quarter. The number of defaults on first mortgages is forecast to rise to 1.9 million this year from 1.4 million in 2007, according to a report by Economy.com using FDIC and other data. Read more »

Telecommuting To Reduce CO2 Emissions

101 Tips for Telecommuters

“Working for the man” could be easier, and saving our planet a beneficial byproduct, if only more of us could telecommute, even for only a few days each month. Combining the need of flexibility for businesses and workers with the need to reduce CO2 emissions while telecommuting offers a viable solution for many corporate and small business environments.

The goals of any telecommuting arrangement must be to increase the flexibility and cost savings that come from a mobile workforce without imposing restrictions or compromising security. Then, it is up to us to

  • document our telecommuting projects,
  • keep a journal of time saved by telecommuting,
  • make a record of our personal savings from telecommuting,
  • log telephone conversations made from any location other than our office or cubicle,
  • note how the information technology department is helping us to become more mobile.

Once we have spent a few months telecommuting, only then can we provide management with the facts to support a continuance of our telecommuting assignments.

Success as a Real Estate Agent For Dummies (For Dummies (Business & Personal Finance))

The most recent statistics from the Department of Labor shows that the median income for a real estate agent is about $39,760 per year. The middle 50 percent earn between $26,790 and $65,270 annually, and the top 10 percent earn around $111,500 per year. While that may seem to be a goodly income, there are both downsides and expenditures that make the profession somewhat less appealing.

The more prosperous agents in any locale are always on-call for their clients. It’s a business where the agent has to be there 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Home Staging May Be Your Perfect Work At Home Business

Home Staging for Profit: How to Start and Grow a Highly Profitable Home-Based Staging Business

In this distressed real estate marketplace, home and condo sellers are increasingly turning to home stagers to help them sell their properties. Home staging is a fast growing industry with great profit potential. Home staging combines decorating techniques with real estate strategies so stagers can effectively help owners sell their homes in record time for record profits, a vital service needed today more than ever.

It’s proven that homes that are staged sell faster and for more money. This is because staging sets the scene throughout the house to create immediate buyer interest in the property. This will then lead to the home selling for the highest possible price in today’s market.

However, staging is not merely decorating with a new, fresh interior design or redesign. Rather, home Staging is detailing, de-cluttering, de-personalizing and preparing a seller’s home to give it a “model home” appearance. With the right staging strategy, the potential buyer can visualize themselves living in the home.

So how does one start their own home staging business?

One good source of information is the book shown in this blog post. Written in a personable and conversational style, Home Staging for Profit is a must read for anyone wanting to start their own home staging business. Photos capture the essence of staging while giving readers a clear idea of what to expect. For many, it’s important that this business requires no degree or prior experience.. The manual exemplifies solid business training plus decorating and staging specifics.

    Blog Monetization

  • What To Do If You Lose Your Cellphone

BlackBerry Hacks: Tips & Tools for Your Mobile Office (Hacks)

As a fairly conscientious person, I rarely misplace or lose anything. Really.

Yet, just the other day, I couldn’t find my cellphone. After 30 minutes of looking around my work at home office and searching throughout our home, panic set-in.

You see, most folks think they are not held responsible for fraudulent calls made after they lose their cellphone or have it stolen. Don’t believe me? Read the fine print of your contract. You may find that you are, in fact, responsible for calls made from your phone, unless they are made after you have called the service provider to report the phone missing.

So, when should you call your cellphone provider and report your phone missing?

My advice — call them the moment you notice that your phone is missing. The provider will temporarily suspend your service and most likely advise you that you have 30 days to find your phone, or get a new one before they cancel your service.

Some providers will give you the courtesy of suspending your service and monthly fees for up to 30 days until you replace or recover your wireless phone; provided that you haven’t been granted a similar courtesy within the previous 12 months.

Most service providers however do not offer courtesy suspensions and may require that you present documentation to them, such as a police report or a sworn statement, within 14 days of having reported your cell phone lost or stolen. Read more »

Retirement Not In The Vocabulary For Many Baby Boomers

e-Learning and the Science of Instruction: Proven Guidelines for Consumers and Designers of Multimedia Learning

Of nearly 80 million Americans born between 1946 - 1964, many have, or will soon reach the age of retirement. To those that wish to retire, we say “go for it!”

But, whether you should retire when your time comes and whether your employer should work to hold on to the potential retirees in their midst are some of this year?s big questions.

Experts predict that the majority of these baby boomers will continue to ?work” in some fashion, whether for pay, barter, or in community service to others. The reasons in include:

    • unfulfilled agendas, often stemming from their youthful dreams,
    • expectation of another 20 years of productivity,
    • possibilities of employment, filing positions left open by other retirees,
    • opportunities to achieve success in a different field,
    • personal gratification of helping others.

Now is the time to begin preparation for your second career. Talk with your current employer. Do the research to begin your own work at home business.

    And, above all, have fun!
