PT Web/Calendar Editor Family website (work fr. home)
Local Family/Parenting Website serving the DC Metro families in search of Internet savvy Part-Time (work-from-home) Web/Calendar Editor to start immediately. Web/Calendar Editor will initially be responsible for condensing and posting email submitted local family events and special offers to our website using proprietary website content management system (CMS). Web/Calendar Editor will also be responsible for identifying additional family events and event contacts and working with our existing event contacts to encourage (and possibly train) self-submission of events to our website.
Additional responsibilities may include:
? Posting articles from print publication onto website
? Identifying and securing new sources of 3rd party content
? Composing e-communications to local organization event contacts soliciting event submissions
? Selecting ?featured? events for online event calendar and for print publication
? Update web home page and other content areas
? Help identify new content opportunities, tools, and web applications to further enhance web content and user experience
? Contributing to build out of online community areas (blogs, message boards, etc.)Knowledge and strong interest in family/kids events in DC metro area, experience/expertise in online content creation and management, community building and tools, calendar research and creation, and e-Newsletter writing all considered big pluses.
While this position is part-time, work from home, averaging 15 ? 30 hours month, it will require more hours during the first month for initial content uploads and creation (est. 20 - 30 hours). We are looking for someone to start yesterday. This is a work from home position with only very occasional on-site office meetings required.
